"System Properties" - Why am I missing a section of settings?
I'm working on configuring the properties of Remote Desktop in Windows 7. I couldn't get it to work properly, so I consulted this page: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Connect-to-another-computer-using-Remote-Desktop-Connection
In the first image after
the video, it shows a section to the bottom of Remote Assistance, titled "Remote Desktop".
After seeing this, I was surprised to notice that I do
not have this section of settings in my version of windows! I am the administrator of my PC, and it says on the help page (top-right) that the instructions are for ALL versions of Windows 7.
So you can see what I'm referring too, see THIS screenshot of MY remote settings.
My question is: Why don't I have access to that "Remote Desktop" section of System Properties? (It isn't in the "Advanced" section FYI)

Which version of Win 7 do you have ? As far as I know, Win 7 versions which have Remote Desktop feature available are
Ultimate, Professional and Enterprise, other versions do not have Remote Desktop Connection feature.

I have Win 7 Home Premium however if you read the tutorial link in my post it says that
all editions of Win 7 have the features.
I came across
THIS thread however, which recommends a registry change. I'm going to give that a try. Also, I post says you can uninstall Win 7 SP1 too, but I would think that that would also uninstall important bug fixes...so I'm a bit hesitant to do that.
And I agree with you about this forum being for Windows Server. I actually first posted this question on the "Answers" forum that you recommended. But a moderator
directed me to this forum.
